Rain out notice

We try to give as much notice as possible when deciding when to declare games rained out. The rule of thumb we try to maintain is to give the team manager and rain out line at least 1 hour notice prior to game start time. This is a difficult call some mornings and we are rarely able to please everyone. For every player grateful to have early cancellation notice there are an equal number disappointed that we were not able to wait longer and try to get the fields playable. Certain field owners simply do not allow us to do any work on the field. They have staff responsible for the field maintenance and take a very proprietary role in them.
